Day 1
I finally started Day 1 of the program! Today I started with a 5 minute warm up walk and then alternated 60 seconds of running with 90 seconds of walking for 20 minutes.
When I started, I was thinking about how easy it sounded. I was definetely wrong. Ouch! The only thing that kept me going was watching my timer. I kept thinking about how there was only one minute until I could walk again.
Now that I am finished I actually feel really good. It seemed to give me a burst of energy. Also, I feel like at this gradual pace I may actually be able to complete the program. I am also counting on the support of my friends, Kelsey and Kyrstin. It is nice to know someone else is doing this with me!
With this program you are supposed to exercise 3 times a week. My goal for the rest of the week is to complete 2 more workouts. For now I will be doing them in the evening. Eventually I would like to be motivated enough to do them in the morning.
